The District of West Vancouver is undertaking a planning and community engagement process to create detailed policy for a new compact, sustainable urban community in Cypress Village and for protecting a large portion of the Eagleridge lands in perpetuity for conservation and recreation. The vision is to create a place that is sustainable, walkable, vibrant, social, and livable.
The branding process included the development of a brand strategy and positioning, naming, key messaging, logo and visual language. The objective was to introduce stakeholders and the public to the planning and engagement process and communicate existing policy directions.
The identity is poetic, vibrant and most importantly welcoming. The identity conveys the substantial level of community engagement involved in the planning process. The name and tagline support this objective and underscores heavily the importance of protecting the Eagleridge lands.
